Who are we?
Charlottesville Women in Tech (CWIT) is an organization for emerging and established professionals that provides human connections and resources for women and girls interested in or associated with technology. Our vision is to bridge the gender gap in tech by providing a safe and welcoming environment for women and girls to connect, learn and collaborate in Charlottesville.
April Event:
Yes We Tech: Empathy and Game Design
Join Eileen Krepkovich, research scientist and biomedical engineer at Barron Associates in the Design Lab at UVA to explore Empathy and Game Design. This experience focuses on using empathy as part of game design. Learn about the design thinking process, and how it can be used for designing many things - from video games to medical devices. Your feedback and ideas will be used to improve a game currently in design!
The Yes We Tech events provide the opportunities for participants to get a behind-the-scenes look at local tech companies and organizations to see tech in action, meet role models, and do cool hands-on activities. Cost: Free, but registration is required |
You can help us continue and grow this important work! If you are an individual, please considering donating to Tech-Girls through Charlottesville Women in Tech, a 501c3 non-profit. If you are an organization, please consider sponsoring Tech-Girls through CWIT.
Why Sponsor CWIT?
An annual sponsorship supports our meetups, book clubs and other programming we offer or collaborate on. These events provide networking opportunities, support and education to women in technology roles. We couldn't do what we do without our sponsors! |
